CDL Class B Bus Driver

New Wave Adventures, is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious CDL Class B Bus Driver with Air Brakes and Passenger Endorsements. As a Bus Driver, your primary responsibility will be to transport guests safely to and from our rafting tour locations within Denali area. Drivers will pick up guests from there hotels greet them and transport them to our office. Buses will pull a 20 ft trailer with 18ft and/or 16ft rafts. Applicant will be expect to help load and unload all rafting gear as necessary. Drivers must ensure rafts and gear are tied down properly. Drivers work 8-10 hours a day 5 days a week. All CDL drivers will be in a DOT UA random drug and alcohol pool. All employees who live on NWA property must be willing live and work with staff. There is zero tolerance for sexual harassment, excessive alcohol use and physical altercations

MUST HAVES:

  • Pass a Preemployment FMCSA DOT Drug test

  • Have a Class B CDL with passenger and airbrakes endorsement

  • Must be able to walk up and own hills

  • Time management skills and top notch customer service

  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor

  • 21 years of age with clean driving record

Pay Rate: $20-$24 per hour, plus tips, FREE housing and end of season bonus


River Guide

New Wave Adventures, a leading rafting tour company located just outside of Denali National Park. We are seeking an experienced class and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a High volume Class 3-4 river guide. As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for leading thrilling river trips on the Nenana River, ensuring the safety of our guests. Guides will work 2-3 trips a day 5 days a week. The Nenana is a high volume glacial river. Must have the ability run company lines and display safe rafting practices. Guides will deliver several speeches ranging from a welcome speech to standard river safety speeches. All guides and guests wear drysuits(mandatory) The Nenana River ranges from 5000 CFS to 20,000 CFS with 36-38 degree water. We run 2 sections a milder trip with 2-3 rapids and a canyon stretch with 3-4 class rapids. There is ZERO tolerance for sexual harassment, excessive alcohol use and physical altercations

MUST HAVES:

  • 1-2 years experience commercial guiding on a class 3-4 river

  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor

  • Swift water Tech, CPR First Aid (classes held in May)

  • Own river gear( Drysuit, life jacket, river knife, helmet etc.)

  • 2 employment references - 1 personal reference

Pay Rate: per Trip $70- $85 per a trip w/free housing OT pay on days off and 4th trip of the day. plus tips end of season bonus pay


Rafting photographer

NWA is seeking a talented and passionate photographer to join our team as a Seasonal Rafting Photographer. This position offers the opportunity to capture stunning moments of adventure and natural beauty on the Nenana River, providing our guests with lasting memories. The role includes Adobe Lightroom editing skills to create high-quality and visually appealing images that showcase the unique experiences we offer. You will edit and upload in a timely fashion, allowing the guest to view photos upon returning to office. Roughly 1.5 to 2 hours after photos are taken. Customer service position helping guests purchase photos follow the steps provided.

MUST HAVES:

  • Computer skills

  • Ability to walk on trails and river bank terrain.

Pay Rate: $16- 18 per hour with free housing OT pay (x1.5) End of season bonus pay.


 Reservations Specialist and Clerk

NWA is seeking a motivated and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Reservations Specialist and Clerk position employee. As a crucial front line member of our team, you will be responsible for handling reservations, providing exceptional customer service, Manage reservations for rafting tours, ensuring accurate and timely bookings while maintaining detailed records.  Inform guests about various tour options, packages, pricing, and availability, helping them make informed decisions to enhance their experience. Restock general store items and New Wave apparel . This is an entry level position There is ZERO tolerance for sexual harassment, excessive alcohol use and physical altercations

MUST HAVES:

  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor

  • Organize important documents such as waiver forms and billing

  • Check in groups ranging from 10 to 100 people with a smile.

  • Learn from senior staff and apply new skills

Pay Rate: $16 - $19 per hour plus tips, FREE housing and end of season bonus
